The project has examined Riddle’s Court, 322 Lawnmarket and corroborates the research findings of three groups of students. The study was made possible courtesy of the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust and has benefited from input from Georgina Allison, John Gifford, Simon Green, Aonghus MacKechnie, Lou Rosenburg, and Robin Tait.
Through the analysis of historical sources and field survey, the study aims to elucidate the evolution of the building in its historic and urban context. Each group focused on one room, carrying out a measured survey and comprehensive analysis of existing features, as well as an assessment of its cultural significance within the context of Riddle’sCourt, the Edinburgh Old Town and broader Edinburgh World Heritage Site.
