Events:

  • They have run several art workshops with the members of Jersey Mencap, with the focus being on a local Jersey Artist or a painting from our collection.
  • Some of the projects that they have facilitated have included taking our ‘What’s Your Street Story’ talks to the residents of Andium Homes as a way of connecting locals to the areas in which they live.
  • There is also the opportunity to visit sites like the ‘Cold War Bunker’ that have been untouched since the 1980’s.
  • Color our Collection – Get creative with colouring sheets based on paintings in our collection while we share the stories of those paintings.
  • Citizen Curator: ‘Your Connection to our Collection’ – Choose an item that you are drawn to. Then, take part in a creative writing workshop based on the objects that you have chosen in order to create two community exhibitions in 2024.
  • Loans Boxes & Talks – We have a selection of objects that we can bring to you. Looking at objects, wondering at their use, sharing memories and telling stories can help people connect with each other.
  • Cold War Bunker Tours – Come and visit our Cold War Bunker. From gas masks and radiation suits to Geiger counters, maps and emergency procedures, the bunker has been frozen in time since it was abandoned when the threat had passed.
