About the artist
My name is Ellena Dallas and I am a first year student at the Edinburgh College of Art, though I am originally from the North West of England. I specialise in portraiture and typically work with painting and drawing mediums for my art, however I will be experimenting significantly throughout the course. I am particularly inspired by the works of both historical and contemporary artists, including John Singer-Sargent, Lucian Freud and Barbara Walker.
This blog will be a documentation of my work during my BA Fine Art studies, exploring a range of practices through a series of short projects. The blog will mainly cover my Art in Practice modules, however I will also feature some of my work from my elective courses based around the art of drawing.
