Week 9 Post

This week we went again to the Talbot rice gallery in the old collage. We had a discussion with James Clegg and I think I benefited a lot

We first discussed the layout of the exhibition hall, including the aspects of space and light. In order to fully display the exhibits, a spacious space is essential. In addition, both outdoor light sources and indoor light sources will greatly affect the display of exhibits, so it is necessary to pay attention to the impact of these lights.

The second point to pay attention to is the protection of vulnerable groups. For example, for disabled groups, it is necessary to set up barrier-free facilities and barrier-free passages to protect their rights and interests. For children with short heights, appropriate assistance facilities are also beneficial. In addition, when arranging the exhibition, it is also necessary to pay attention to emergency facilities, such as emergency fire doors, emergency survival passages, etc. These facilities can help participants obtain good protection in emergency situations.

The third point worthy of attention is the arrangement of the staff and the work area. As an exhibition with many people participating, how to minimize the impact of the staff and the work area on the exhibition while ensuring work efficiency is a worthy On topic of discussion, the museum we visited mainly hides the working area behind a wall, I think this is a better solution.

This week’s visit has been productive and I’m looking forward to my follow-up work
