A Good Beginning: Establishing the Green Basho Covenant

For the first assignment with my Basho, my group and I decided to meet face-to-face and connect with someone who could not get there through the Microsoft Team. Our first assignment is about creating Basho’s Covenant, so it is better to ensure that everyone in our group will come. We only had an hour to do this. Fortunately, everyone finished their part of the job in advance, so we just needed to collect everyone’s ideas and delete some repeated ones.

We divide each quadrant into three parts: how do we communicate with each other, which qualities we should have during group work, and what we should do. Classifying these covenants is helpful when too many are on your whiteboard. Some pictures demonstrate how we create our covenant.

Everything went well except for one thing: communicating with some members on the internet is challenging. It was easy for me to understand better with my group mates who sat beside me. However, misunderstanding some people online happened because we couldn’t see their faces and listen to their voices clearly due to the poor internet. Lastly, I learned that it is better to meet everyone in person.
