My Character and New Project Idea

In the character workshop, I made the shape of my character out of randomly cut-off paper from magazine. The process is more like a brain storm exercise, every step happened really fast following Kasia’s instructions. I enjoyed the whole workshop session, and actually generate a new idea for my potential project, which is a series of drawings telling a story.

Story Idea So Far

My character is a space bounty hunter. He is loose, and hardly does anything serious for a long time. He works and travels alone, but never admits that he feels lonely. A weird-shaped spaceship is basically all he has, and he is wanted (because he once helped another notorious wanted man). He overheard that a secret market is selling robot pets, and he can only afford a old-type out of date kind of robot because he is poor (he always give away money for good, but never admits doing it for kindness. He thinks himself a hardass tough guy).

After he bought the robot pet, they start to travel together, and they gradually bond with each other. Once they meet a accident, the bounty hunter’s spaceship runs out of power, and the robot dog donates his robot heart to the ship. After then, the bounty hunter goes back to working alone, and his number one task is to find his buddy a new robot heart (it’s a difficult task, because the version of his robot is out-of-date, only few parts are still sale around the world).
