Week 3 exercise Human

objects paniting from catalogue

Inspiring by the Pop artists when I visited The Modern One, I was interested in panting and photoshopping using bold colour. These are my drawings on the museum’s objects from last week.

the Portals

by Michael Eden, Cumbria, England, 2016

I changed the Lobster into a woman for this drawing, referring to the gender stereotypes in advertising, art and film industry,  especially in the pop culture. In feminist theory, this is called male gaze. However personally, I quite enjoy drawing female, because I think the lines of the female are soft and graceful.
