I glued lollipop sticks onto a piece of card to resemble my design idea of a vertical series of timber wooden slats in which I would investigate how to bring to life with light. I placed the torch in several different areas and the most pleasing outcome was when the light was placed right to the back of the maquette.
I also tried this with cylindrical wooden sticks to see if I preferred the effect it gave when paired with light but to my surprise I preferred the rectangular shape.
MY DESIGN SOLUTION
Inlaid lighting cut into every other timber slat. This will give a fin lighting effect.
