Drawing in context – For the Bradford Textile Award I am running for (F1 – THE ASSOCIATION OF FASHION AND TEXTILE COURSES AWARD) I have included an illustration of the kind of application I visualise my design for within fashion. Below I have included an illustration based on an oversized cardigan that has large sleeves and a high neck piece to it which promotes comfort alongside the knitted material itself.
My initial illustration below shows how I have developed this idea from my primary samples and included beading and embellishment into the final design to add a contrast to the wool.

Great foray into fashion illustration. Just watch the scale of your rendering of the garment…is this to scale? You have some good reference for the bulky sihouettes in earlier research, maybe go back and look at that again to help you develop a softer approach to visualising the volume, and avoiding your garment shape looking too flat and poncho-like.
