Data and Networks: Project 1

In a period of intense analysis of data and statistics, social media data, the COVID 19 track and trace systems, political polls, online shopping preferences and more are all tracked for statistical analysis.

For my first project, I must determine a personal source of information to gather and analyse data from. Through interrogation, I should be able to identify links, connections and clusters in my data. This project focuses on the exploration of textile methods, techniques, surfaces, materials and structures to present this data in an abstract  manner and in tangible textile formats. Rather than creating work that illustrates my data, I must allow my analysis of data to dictate the structures of my pieces.
