Digital Badges

The PlayFair Steps now offers two digital badges, PlayFair Steps Colleague and PlayFair Steps Champion. These are awarded in recognition of an individual’s commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) activity, and assistance with PlayFair Steps activities and events. The Colleague badge can be earned through helping organise our Ada Lovelace Day events, for example, and the Champion badge can be earned through sustained work, such as shifting demographics, or co-ordinating a network.

The badges can be added to LinkedIn profiles and CVs, and are designed to help encourage and assist getting more women into the tech industry.

So far, 28 of the PlayFair Steps badges have been awarded to staff across the Information Services Group for their contributions to EDI activity.
