Pedagogical approaches to online PGT

Date: Tuesday, 12th November (10.00 -12.30)

Venue: Playfair Library, Old College   (Link to map: https://edin.ac/2q8Nly9)

During this event we will hear from Gill Aitken, Tim Fawns and Derek Jones about their experiences of developing and teaching on the online MSc in Clinical Education. Along with colleagues on the programme, Gill, Tim and Derek have been exploring a model for online PGT learning and they will draw on research which explores what graduates get from PG study, how staff plan their online PGT teaching for healthcare professionals, and the alignment of learning and professional workplace practices. The session will also consider the challenges of PGT Programme Directors.

This session will offer participants the opportunity to explore pedagogical approaches to online PGT programmes, to find out about the pedagogical approaches adopted by one PGT programme, and to share practice with colleagues across the University of Edinburgh online PGT teaching community.

This event is open to University of Edinburgh staff. Further information and booking – https://edin.ac/2oYcezw.
