Founded in 2018, the Edinburgh University Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Society (EUPRASS) focuses on promoting an accurate understanding of the contemporary plastic surgery practice.
In cooperation with Edinburgh’s top consultant plastic surgeons and trainees, we organise a range of talks and educational events to help you see plastic surgery for what it is – an exciting, extremely diverse specialty that is not bound by any anatomical structures.
Last year, we organised the Breast Cancer Awareness Evening (with a raffle!) and the Surgical Portfolios Talk. This year, we’re expanding the scope of our talks by those on facial and hand surgery as these are frequently overlooked, yet crucial sub-specialties.
We’re also increasingly active on Facebook, weekly posting a Fun Fact on the theme of a month – so don’t forget to like our page to stay updated!
Last but not least, this summer we’ve embarked on a journey of conducting our own research as a committee, which we hope later becomes a tradition.
If you’re interested to know more about EUPRASS, or wish to become a member, don’t hesitate to message our Facebook page and visit our tab on EUSA webpage. We hope that this academic year you’ll share our passion for plastic surgery – a specialty where creativity, skill and beauty all come together.
