Edinburgh Psychiatry society is the university group for all things mental health academia and clinical practice.
We work closely with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and our partner societies across the UK to bring you the latest resources and events. This includes talks on different areas of psychiatric care, policy and research. We also provide OSCE tutorials and resources for fifth years completing their psychiatry module.
This year, we have a committee of eight students across different years, including three competitively-selected PsychStars, all keen to increase the presence of psychiatry and support you with whatever help you need.
We work with representatives in psychiatry, including the school lead, and can help you access schemes such as Psychiatry Early Exposure Programme Scotland (PEEPS) to learn more about the field. It does not matter your background or if you have any experience: we welcome you all to learn more about the importance of mental health in medicine.
We hope to see you at some of our events and promise you’ll be glad you gave psych a try!
