Teddy Bear Hospital

group shot of society members with teddy bearTeddy Bear Hospital Edinburgh (TBHE) is a leading volunteering society at Edinburgh University. We visit local primary schools and clubs to teach children about health through fun games and activities.

During visits, we also act as “Teddy Doctors” and help the children’s unwell teddies feel better. Our goal is to teach children how to take care of their health and ease their anxiety surrounding hospital visits and doctors.

Our volunteers attend a training session at the beginning of the semester and remain a teddy doctor for the duration of their studies.

TBHE is also known to be a very welcoming society. We frequently organise relaxed and inclusive socials such as BBQ picnics, pizza and pasta nights, pub quizzes and charity ceilidhs.

If you are interested in volunteering with us – follow our Facebook page for updates. Our inbox is also always open for any questions.
