Wednesday features graduates of the Reid School of Music with performances by Nani Porenta, Eleni-Ira Panourgia, Dara Etefaghi and Louis McHugh. They’re exploring different approaches to social organisation of sound in audio-visual contexts.
Thursday features a sound installation called “sound pot” by a sound art collective responding to the military dictatorship in Myanmar. It will be presented by Joshua Weitzel who joins us from Kassel, Germany.
Friday we host Montreal-based instrument builder, composer, improviser and sonic artist Jean-Francois Laporte who will give a concert on his air compressor-powered instrument the Babel Table.
