Dialogues Festival

Dialogues Festival happening next week on Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 October.  All events take place in the West Court, start at 7pm and last around one hour:

Wednesday features graduates of the Reid School of Music with performances by Nani Porenta, Eleni-Ira Panourgia, Dara Etefaghi and Louis McHugh. They’re exploring different approaches to social organisation of sound in audio-visual contexts.


Thursday features a sound installation called “sound pot” by a sound art collective responding to the military dictatorship in Myanmar. It will be presented by Joshua Weitzel who joins us from Kassel, Germany.


Friday we host Montreal-based instrument builder, composer, improviser and sonic artist Jean-Francois Laporte who will give a concert on his air compressor-powered instrument the Babel Table.
