As time went on, we all felt the loss of seeing friends, of that ‘real life’ interaction. This was so hard for people who were used to living lives out in public, on the streets, with other people. The excitement of having a place to stay – a luxury hotel – also turned into feelings of loneliness and isolation. As one frontline worker said, people experiencing homelessness have started to ‘leak back onto the streets’ again. What were your feelings of isolation and loneliness during that first – and most severe – of lockdowns?

For people with limited access to technology and Zoom, graffiti and street art can offer other ways of expressing themselves. When things change quickly, how do you learn about these changes and tell others if you don’t have a television or a computer?
