Climate Science Showcase at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh (2021):

In mark of the upcoming climate change conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Edinburgh's science centre, Dynamic Earth, hosted a climate science showcase in which research scientists from across the UK came together to host fun and interactive activities aimed at the younger generation to inspire them about climate science. All members of the public were encouraged to come along and take part in the activities!

We cryptogamiacs made our mark at the event by hosting a stall displaying posters of our research in the polar regions. Interactive Antarctic lichen samples were laid out for children to handle and jigsaw puzzles for them to solve.

Overall the event was a huge success and we thoroughly enjoyed taking part!
