Assessment

Coursework submission and marking

Students taking Informatics courses can submit coursework assignments in a number of ways. Below are some of the options available. Each links out to further documentation and guidance. Please get in touch to discuss the most suitable platform for your assignment.

We also have a blog post on whether Gradescope or Learn (the two most commonly used tools) is most suitable for your needs with regards to coursework submission and marking.

Please see more from the Informatics Teaching Organisation about details they need for each piece of coursework, the moderation process, and marking and feedback turnaround times.

Assessment design

We can also support in designing your assessment for any new or existing courses. Please contact us to discuss this.

Examinations

Exams are held in-person and the ITO then scan the hand-written answer scripts into Gradescope for online marking. If you have any questions about the exam process, please contact the ITO.

The University schedules all exams; you can find out when the exam timetable will be published and, once it is live, when your course’s exam is taking place on the Examinations Diets and Timetables site.
