Our Collections in the SRR

In the midst of deadline season, it can be hard to find a place to start your research. Our collections can help with this! Both Undergraduates and Postgraduates studying History, Classics and Archaeology can borrow a wide range of books from any one of our many collections.

Our collections include:

Archaeology Collection

Anthropological Studies Collection

Brown and Forrest Collection (Late Antique and Medieval History)

Centre for the Study of Modern Conflict Collection

Compton Collection (American History)

Jim McMillan Collection (European History)

Micheal Flinn Collection (Economic and Social History)

Scottish History Collection (Situated in Room 3.07)

Sellar and Goodhart (Classics, Ancient History, Classical Art and Archaeology)

Ask one of our friendly volunteers if you need any help or want to take out a book, or simply use our Book Lending Records (located on the desk near the exit) to borrow the books.

Come and have a browse and see the wide range of books for yourself! Equally, check online to see if a particular book you are searching for is in the SRR by following the link below.
