Ancient History Shelves

Calling all Classicists!

The more eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that we have been re-organising the Ancient History section of the Sellar and Goodhart collection. We have reshuffled and relabelled the books into more specific categories so that it is easier for you to find the books you need! Before we just had ‘Greek History’ and ‘Roman History’, but now we have four main sections all with their own subsections:

Classical Greek History (Classical Greek Warfare, Classical Greek Society, Greek Political Systems)

Hellenistic Greek History (Hellenistic Greek Warfare, Alexander the Great, Greek Myth)

Roman Republican History (Roman Republican Warfare, Republican Great Figures, Roman Republican Society)

Roman Imperial History (Roman Emperors, Roman Provinces, Roman Imperial Warfare, Roman Imperial Society)

We have lots of fascinating books which you can use for essays and exams, or enjoy in your spare time, so come and have a look!

The shelves are in 2M.25 just behind the volunteer’s desk!
