Our next EEHN Reading Group will take place online on the 24th November at 10.30am UK Time.

For this session, our ‘readings’ will be:

  • Eben Kirksey and Sophie Chao, ‘Introduction: Who Benefits from Multispecies Justice?’ (2022)
  • Craig Santos Perez, ‘ginen the micronesian kingfisher [i sihek]’ (2014)

The readings are available below, but please let us know if you have any trouble with access:

Following our last session, we will be thinking through and discussing what attentiveness can and cannot do; what comes after attention; and how can it translate into various forms of action — all with a focus on multispecies justice.

The Craig Santos Perez poem is featured on the website The Living Archive: Extinction Stories from Oceania. We encourage you to explore more of the website too if you have time.

The session should run for approximately an hour, and you can find the Zoom link below. We look forward to seeing and speaking to you then!
