Recently David Farrier and I participated in an ERASMUS funded teaching exchange with the University of Stockholm. We contributed to the new Environmental Humanities thematic focus within the Humanities PhD programme, offering a range of sessions on the topic of Deep Time. We visited the university’s Baltic Sea Centre and its Askö Laboratory, on a beautiful island in the Trosa archipelago. We appreciated the chance to build stronger links with our colleagues at Stockholm, particularly Christina Fredengren, Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies, Karin Dirke, Department of Culture and Aesthetics and Claudia Egerer, Department of English. Thanks to everyone who took part and for the wholehearted participation from the students.
