Applications are open now for the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Edinburgh Environmental Humanities Network IASH-EEHN Visiting Research Fellowships 2026-27.
IASH-EEHN Visiting Research Fellowships support fellows to undertake a stay of between two and four months at University of Edinburgh, in the beautiful surroundings of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities. They are intended to bring outstanding interdisciplinary researchers to Edinburgh to support the production of new work, and to encourage scholarly collaboration and networking with researchers at Edinburgh.
Fellows will be expected to give two presentations about their research during their stay, one at IASH and one to Environmental Humanities colleagues, and to participate in the scholarly community at IASH. Projects should have a connection to research being conducted at Edinburgh, and we encourage prospective applicants to read about the work being done at EEHN before applying.
A bursary of £1,300 per month will be offered to successful candidates to contribute towards travel and subsistence costs.
Applications are open now. The deadline is 27 February 2025.
More information on the fellowship can be found here: https://www.iash.ed.ac.uk/environmental-humanities-visiting-research-fellowships.
IASH has a range of fellowships to support research stays in Edinburgh. These can be viewed here: https://www.iash.ed.ac.uk/fellowship-programmes.
These include a scheme specifically targeted at postgraduates, with a later deadline in April.
