We’re delighted that the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh will host four Environmental Humanities fellows in 2020.
In February, we will welcome Prof. Christopher Lee (Lafayette College), Prof. Hester Blum (Penn State), and Prof. Christina Seely (Dartmouth). Prof Lee’s project is a history of the night time in South Africa; Prof. Blum will work on the temporalities of ice; and Prof Seely’ work will look at the role art and empathy play in addressing the climate emergency.
In June, Dr Jessica White (University of Queensland) will arrive to work on an Ecobiography of Georgiana Molloy, one of the first botanical collectors in Western Australia.
