Confronting the University's Legacies of Slavery and Colonialism

Podcast: On Reparations and the University of Edinburgh (Part 1)

This podcast was created as a collaboration between the Research and Engagement Working Group that is looking into the University of Edinburgh’s history and legacies of slavery, colonialism and racial thought and the RaceEd network as part of their ‘Undersong – Race and Conversations Other-Wise’ series.

In this first episode, Shaira Vadasaria is in conversation with three members of the REWG. Together with Dr. Nicola Frith, Zaki El-Salahi, and Professor Tommy Curry, this first of two parts introduces the project, its scope and community engagement efforts. The REWG continues the collaboration between the International Network of Scholars and Activists for Afrikan Reparations (INOSAAR) and the Pan-Afrikan Reparations Coalition in Europe (PARCOE).
