Welcome to the Carbon and Climate Change Economics Writings blog

Why writing brilliant papers about environmental policies, economics, climate change… just to have them read by your teacher?

There is a lot more to the papers written by carbon/climate change economics students than theory and applications. These papers are filled with great ideas on how our governments should address climate change, how the economy should change, how our society should navigate these delicate times and build a future that is environmentally safe and socially just… precious ideas that should not go waste. These papers can spark debate and, if we are lucky, promote actual change… if they are given a platform.

And what about the ideas discussed among students, or the environmental talks some students might give while working or volunteering, or the critical thoughts students might have while reading the latest news? Some of them might promote a positive change too, if expressed in the form of blog posts and shared on a platform that is accessible to the general public.

This is why this blog was created: to prevent good ideas from being wasted, to give them the platform they deserve—of course, with the authors’ consent.

So, welcome to the Carbon and Climate Change Economics Writings blog. Happy reading, happy writing, happy thinking… happy changing the world for the better!
