Good Morning and Welcome to a Behaviourist Clinic: I Am Going To Be Your Therapist

How is radical behaviourism applied to therapy? When they first come to the clinic, our clients come with plenty of questions regarding our approach. Likewise, non-clinical psychologists or specialists belonging to different fields might have similar questions: how does radical behaviourism address clinical cases? Which is the most relevant information to explain someone’s difficulties? Is it crucial that clients understand our analysis of their problem? Which are the suitable therapeutic objectives? How important is it to make a diagnosis to tailor an intervention? Is it recommendable to do therapy group? Is the therapeutic relationship the key to success during therapy or is it the application of the techniques? How long does the treatment take? When do we know that a treatment should end? And last but not least: is change possible? In this talk we will analyse the whole therapeutic process from the very beginning through the presentation of a real case. If you have more questions do not hesitate to ask. Let’s discuss!
