Update
The YARNS Transitions project aims to develop a nurse-led psychosocial intervention to support young adults with acquired brain injury. For this intervention to be relevant and meaningful for young adults, we have invited key stakeholders to share their experiences with us. To date, we have heard from healthcare professionals, services providers and people who had experienced an acquired brain injury regarding their rehabilitation experiences, and good practices in relation to the literature. We are very happy to have included perspectives across the United Kingdom, including participants from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
After analysing these perspectives, and good practices, we are moving to the final stage of the project, which is to co-design a feasible and appropriate nurse-led intervention to support the psychosocial needs of young adults after an acquired brain injury. Based on the current literature and data, we have developed an initial model which is in need of refinement in order to identify the key elements of the intervention. To do so, we are calling for more young adults to participate in a series of online interactive workshops to co-design the intervention. People can participate in either one or more online workshops according to their availability and preferences.
Online workshops will be run by members of the research team using interactive activities to refine findingsthe model and identify the key essential components of the intervention.
