The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies was founded in 1823 by William Dick and is a recognised as a world leader in veterinary teaching, research and clinical practice. The School is ranked consistently highly both in the UK and overseas. In the most recent National Student Survey (NSS 2020) results the School also obtained a 95% student satisfaction rating. Excellent student satisfaction is fundamental to the success and well-being of our students and we are extremely pleased to see the positive results of our commitment to student experience being recognised.
The School is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council Inc (AVBC), allowing students to practice in the UK, Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and East and South East Asia.
