About

Eden Swimer

I am a fourth year History student, interning at the Open Educational Resources (OER) service until June 2024. I am working on the ‘Their Finest Hour’ project, to deliver a Digital Collection Day in Edinburgh. Off the back of ‘Their Finest Hour’, I’m looking forward to working with Edinburgh-based schools to develop an OER that covers community-focused World War Two history.

Lorna M. Campbell

I’m the manager of the University’s Open Educational Resources (OER) Service, based in Learning, Teaching and Web Services in Information Services Group. I have a longstanding commitment to supporting open knowledge and I blog about open education and knowledge equity at Open World.  I originally studied Archaeology and have an interest in the social history of the 19th century Royal Navy.  I’m looking forward helping to run this community history event, to help uncover hidden histories relating to World War 2, and preserve them for future generations.
