The Film Dispatch is a magazine dedicated to cinema, television and the moving image.
We are are committed to exploring the enchantment of cinema on the basis of an ontology of images. We seek to engage with the poetics, aesthetics or philosophy of films with a lightness of touch — either the ones that have been recognised as classics or those long-overlooked pieces.
We also focus on the sociological, political, cultural, and pop-cultural aspects of the cinematic experience. We want to analyse how these categories appear in films, explore how films can carry cultural, social, political, industrialised and/or pop-cultural significance.
Targeted submissions are encouraged. We welcome any voice with a passion for films and a desire to express themselves!
