Testing and Trust Research Brief
Research brief summarising study findings: To work effectively, Test and Trace requires that members of the public contribute time, resources and effort and make emotional and economic sacrifices. The system does not currently provide the support that people need to make these contributions to the programme, leading to multiple breakdowns of trust across the testing process.
Testing Stories
Read the stories of some of our study participants. The stories show the complexity of the testing process and the work and effort required from members of the public at every stage, from deciding whether to seek a test to interpreting results. We show how these individual complications result in a lack of trust in government, institutions, and technology.
