The National Technician Development Centre Photo Competition!

About:

The NTDC is holding a photo competition for technical staff across the country. As always, our aim is to promote the vital role that technicians play in their workplace.

Submit a high-resolution photograph of you and your work – this can be anything you are responsible for making or maintaining in your workplace. Let us know who you are, what you do, and why your role is vital to your institution. If you like, you can also send in a few paragraphs telling us about your technician journey, or your role, for a chance to be featured on our website! Entries will be proudly displayed across our website, on our social media, and the top three entries will travel around the country as part of our “Technicians Make it Happen” artwork display.

To enter the competition, you must be employed within the technical community, or have been in the last six months, and the work must be original and your own. The competition will close on 31st January 2020.

All entrants must read and comply with the terms and conditions here.

By entering this competition you confirm that you have read the terms and conditions.

How to Enter:

To enter this competition, upload your image and description to the NTDC website, email it to us at ntdc@sheffield.ac.uk, or find us on Twitter @NTDCtweets and use the hashtag #NTDCphotocomp. You may submit a lower resolution file image in the first instance, and subject to the judges’ discretion we will contact you to request the full photo file.

Judging:

Submissions will be shortlisted by a panel of NTDC specialist advisors. The shortlist of 12, runners up and winner will be announced on 10th February 2020.

Prizes:

The winner of the competition will receive a £150 Amazon voucher and a ticket to the IST Annual Technical Conference 2020, which will be held in York on 16th September next year.

Two runners up will also receive tickets to the IST Annual Technical Conference 2020.

Shortlisted candidates who do not receive one of the top three prizes will also receive a calendar for the academic year 2020/2021 featuring all 12 of the shortlisted images.
