Introduction to Key Concepts in Buddhism for RMPS Teachers

We are pleased to announce a new series of CPD sessions for school teachers. This series of talks addresses each area of the Buddhism section of the Nat5/Higher RMPS curriculum. Each session will begin with a presentation introducing the relevant concepts and some sources that might be used to explore them in the classroom, and this will be followed by an open Q&A session. Where possible, presentations (though not Q&A discussions) will be recorded and made available on this blog. Resources developed for the series will also be shared here.

The sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, February to June 2021, and led by Dr Naomi Appleton (University of Edinburgh) and Dr Chris V. Jones (University of Cambridge).

The series is open to all RMPS teachers in Scotland, and is completely free of charge. Sessions will take place on MS Teams, via the RME/RMPS Teachers Team maintained by the Edinburgh Buddhist Studies Network. If you are not already a member of that Team and wish to join the sessions, contact buddhist.studies@ed.ac.uk and ask to be added.
