Professor Edward Mitchard

Ed is Personal Chair of Global Change Mapping in the School of Geosciences. He co-director of SENSE with Dr Anna Hogg who is based at the University of Leeds. 

Eleanor Graham

Eleanor is the administrator for the SENSE centre at the University of Edinburgh. She is based in the School of Geosciences Postgraduate Research team.

Benjamin Cox

Benjamin is a SENSE PhD student who is based in the School of Mathematics. His project is entitled Sequential Bayesian inference for spatio-temporal probabilistic models of changes in global vegetation and ocean properties using Earth Observation data with principal supervisor:  Dr Victor Elvira

Phoebe is a SENSE PhD student who is based at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. Her project is entitled Changing Arctic: Estimation of freshwater changes over the full Arctic basin including land and ocean from satellite observations with principal supervisor Dr Adrien Martin 

Maximillian Lowe

Max is a SENSE PhD student who is based at British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge. His project is entitled  Unveiling the 4D variability in the lithospheric cradle of the Antarctic ice sheet with principal supervisor Dr Fausto Ferraccioli

Amber Turton

Amber is a SENSE PhD student who is based in the School of Mathematics. Her project is entitled Using satellite data to improve mapping of stem density and forest carbon for sustainable forest management with principal supervisor: Dr Nicole Augustin

Lucy Wells

Lucy is a SENSE PhD student based in the School of Geoscience. Her project is entitled The response of savannas and dry forests to global change: disentangling the effects of climate change, land use and changing CO2 using radar remote sensing and fieldwork with principal supervisor Dr Casey Ryan 

Solomon White

Sol is a SENSE PhD student based in the School of Engineering. His project is entitled High-resolution multispectral estimation of sea surface salinity and temperature in coastal areas with principal supervisor Dr Encarni Medina-Lopez
