Outline of my role

Hi!

Picture of me atop Lochnagar in May 2021

I am a PhD student based at the Grant Institute, King’s Buildings, University of Edinburgh, researching the real-time forecasting of space weather using machine learning. I am on the SENSE CDT programme, which is funded directly by NERC, as a part of the School of Geosciences.

My principal supervisor is Kathy Whaler, a professor with great research experience, and I am co-supervised by Ciaran Beggan, Gemma Richardson, Phil Livermore and Sohan Seth.

If you need to contact me, please do so at S.A.Fielding-1@ed.ac.uk.

Feel free to look at the website of my CASE partner, the Met Office (Weather and climate change – Met Office) or the British Geological Survey (Welcome to BGS – British Geological Survey)
