This week, we made use of the remaining time to have a group discussion. In Week 6, we collectively visited the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and saw the Cap exhibition “CORPSE FLOWER”.
We shared this experience within the group. First of all, we took turns to speak and shared the artworks that impressed us the most. Besides, we also summarized different exhibition forms and experiences. This discussion made me have a deeper reflection on my personal project. I also listened carefully to the ideas of other classmates. For example, Zixuan Liu thought that most of the artworks in the exhibition did not come with detailed explanatory texts, and as a result, it might cause difficulties for the audience to understand when viewing. However, at the same time, I also noticed that some artists were present and could promptly explain the artworks, which helped me understand the themes and connotations of the works more comprehensively. The sharing among us enabled us to learn from each other and pay attention to details that we had not noticed before.
