Botto is an AI design programme created by German artists Mario Klingemann and Simon Hudson in 2021. The program generates around 70,000 images per week, with 350 voted for auction by a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) containing 5,000 people.
Botto was brought to life on October 8, 2021. As a machine, Botto creates artworks in perpetuity.

Xanthe Dobbie is an Australian artist who explores the potential and ethics of AI technology in her work. In her video work, Cate Blanchett’s AI voice is generated using text-to-speech technology to depict a feminist utopia of sex robots.
