#1 Starting My Journey#
With large suitcases in tow, I arrived at the “castle,” a place of study 19 hours away from home by flight.
Over the past month, I’ve gradually become more confident in speaking up. Luckily, I met a lot of new friends and also have some caring and responsible teachers.
Although there were many challenges, I’ve managed to navigate through them smoothly. As someone who grew up sheltered, always by my parents’ side, this is something I never thought I could achieve. It turns out I’m far stronger than I ever imagined.
Moving forward, I will continue to persist and improve—never underestimate your own potential!!!
#2 Thoughts on the Creative Industry#
I’ve always been interested in psychology and often watch related videos and read books. Psychologist once mentioned in a lecture:
“Poverty limits a person’s imagination.”
I disagree. On the contrary, I believe that many industrial miracles are born out of the desperate efforts of entrepreneurs in poverty. Could it be that poverty, far from limiting creativity, actually enhances it?
Take J.K. Rowling, for example—when she wrote Harry Potter, she was a single mother living on welfare, yet she created the fantastical world of Hogwarts, sparking a literary phenomenon.
So, can our studies in the creative industries provide a platform for these “geniuses of poverty” (excluding spiritual poverty) to unleash their creative potential and achieve wonders in various industries?
#3 Lifelong Learning#
Here’s a quote I came across in a book that I really love and want to keep inspiring myself with:
“The reason we read is to choose our own path in a world full of biases. We only live once, but reading allows us to step into the lives of others, so we can live countless times.”
The future will undoubtedly be a society of lifelong learning—read more, expand your horizons, and whenever you have the time, explore the world by foot. If not, discovering the world through books can still continuously spark new thoughts. In the future, I hope to see the endless possibilities of today’s world through the diverse perspectives offered in books!
