Combining Skills
The different skills from Text Mining for Social Research and Insights Through Data have provided me with a better grasp on using pythons analytical tools and creating visualizations to better understand the data I am working with as well as represent any findindgs and conclusions. I realized that using visualizations is sometimes a necessary tool to better understand the data within a dataset, especially in early stages of the research process. Of course, this still comes after the data being used is cleaned and counts as ‘good’ data, without any missing information that could create bad/untrue results.
I am beginning to understand that I may have to ‘scope in’ on my project idea, as the amount of data that I would need for my original idea for conflict forcasting, would be a vast amount and like our group assessment for Insights Through Data, I would need a team of researchers to help with the analytical aspect of the project.
