This week is the first week of school, and the teacher took us to briefly introduce some topics and classifications about curation, and also asked us many questions about curation, such as what preparations need to be made for curating, what responsibilities should be performed as an artist curator, and what items will be presented in the exhibition.
In addition, we read some literature and I learned more about biennials, small art organizations, SVAOs, etc. During the panel discussion, I also explained to the group members about my previous visits to art museums and my own curatorial experience. Today’s course has given me a more comprehensive understanding of the exhibition, and it is a very rich lesson. I look forward to learning more about curating with my teachers and group members next week:)
