The target audience of the exhibition is mainly all women, especially those who struggle between work and family, and those who face the pressure of family responsibilities and career development, such as mothers, married women, single mothers, etc. In addition, the female workforce can include male professionals, decision-makers, gender equality advocates, college students, culture and art lovers, business executives, family members and the media. Through a multi-level target audience, the social impact of the exhibition is enhanced, while promoting widespread social participation and action.
I have the following ideas on how to attract more women to the exhibition:
1. Social media promotion: Use platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter to promote the content of the exhibition through visual content, interactive topics, or women-related hashtags (such as #feminism #womensrights #empowerwomen) to attract the attention of female audiences.
2. Collaboration and linkage: Try to collaborate with women’s organisations, women’s art groups, women’s rights advocates, etc., and use their networks and resources to promote the exhibition. Attract more female audiences to participate in the exhibition.
3. Online interaction: Interact with female audiences through social media platforms to share the stories behind the exhibition, the creative process of the artists, and issues and perspectives related to women. Social media provides a platform for the exhibition, allowing women to express their ideas online and increasing the influence of the exhibition.
4. Regularly organise lectures, inviting female artists, curators, or scholars in related fields who are willing to give public lectures to share their creative experiences and views on gender and social issues. This can attract female audiences to participate in discussions and inspire their thinking and actions. Online lectures can be held every three days during the exhibition.
5. Interactive exhibition settings: In offline exhibitions, guided tours are led by text on whiteboards to encourage visitors, especially women, to think. There are also interactive installations in the exhibition to encourage visitors to actively participate. A guestbook is also provided to encourage women to write down their stories or thoughts and enhance their sense of participation.
