In the last week of Summerhall, our group held a collective curatorial activity with the theme of “Memories of Edinburgh”. During the project planning stage, I took the initiative to propose the idea of using collage as an artistic expression form, which was unanimously adopted by the group members. This open and diverse creative method provides everyone with a space to express their memories in a personalized way, and it also fits well with the diversity and emotionality of the theme.

On the day of the event, I prepared the necessary materials for the group, including A3 white paper, scissors, glue, etc., and planned the general operation process in advance. In the actual process, I not only contributed my personal memory objects – including flowers and plants that symbolize the breath of nature, and takeaway cards that record my food experience in Edinburgh, but also actively assumed the role of promoting the project process. Under my guidance, the group members were able to follow the process in an orderly manner, complete the collage one by one, and ensure the smooth progress of the event.

Through this collective activity, I deeply realized the importance of taking the initiative to take responsibility and promoting the process promptly in teamwork. Moderate organization and guidance can not only improve the overall efficiency of the group but also allow each member’s contribution to be fully respected and displayed. At the same time, I also realized that consciously preparing details and paying attention to the details in the process can significantly enhance the coherence and sense of achievement of collective creation.

In future teamwork, I hope to continue to take my initiative, while also paying more attention to listening and coordination, so that teamwork can find a better balance between freedom and order.
