Although I have listened to you share the project in class, I only have a rough knowing of the content. By reading your portfolio, I have a deeper understanding of your ideas and curatorial concept. The project is an exhibition about writing, reading and visual art, which aims to explore the relationship between text and image. I think it is appropriate to choose the library as the exhibition space. Static literary activities such as writing and reading are easily reminiscent of the library. In such a space, people can settle down and appreciate works quietly. 

 You explain curatorial concepts and developments clearly and in detail, and I can see the changes and updates to the project in the portfolio. The project was originally a performance of artistic process. Due to the difficulties in implementation, it was changed to the form of an exhibition. But I think it is a pity that you abandoned the original form, the idea of storytelling sounds attractive. Many libraries also have storytelling activities for children, but it may be challenging to implement them as a performance. I appreciate that you constantly think about possible dilemmas and change strategies to make the project feasible, which will play a crucial role in the success of the exhibition. 

 You have done a lot of practice research related to your project, including visiting exhibitions, watching performances, and listening to speeches. In the two visits to the Talbot Rice Gallery, you also summed up the key points of the speaker and added your own thoughts. However, in terms of theory research, you do not seem to have done so much, or it may be that I did not understand clearly. It is suggested that you could read some related articles and theories, which can make your ideas more convincing. 

 I would like to see you describe the process of finding artists. You showed that you met two artists and discussed their works with them, but I am curious about how you found the artists. For example, what method you used to find artists, what difficulties you encountered in the process, etc. In addition, you wrote comprehensively about your individual project but did not mention the roles and tasks of the group in the article. I would also like to know what contributions you have made to the group, and I think these can be added to the portfolio. 

 The typesetting of your portfolio is concise, and the visuals make me feel comfortable when reading. In terms of text, the structure of the articles is complete and clearly segmented. The font is single and neat, and you use different font sizes to distinguish titles and content. In terms of pictures, the size and arrangement of the pictures are aesthetically pleasing. There are text notes under the pictures, so I can grasp the meaning of the pictures at first sight. Suitable pictures can grab readers’ attention, and I think you did well with the selection and display of the images, which is worth learning from. 

 Overall, your portfolio conveys important information to be covered in the project, and your project is impressive and creative. I can see that you took time to do research and consider all aspects of your project. These are my peer review, I hope my feedback will be helpful to you. I am very happy with the feedback I received here and I am happy to know that my portfolio was cohesive and my idea is easily read. As highlighted in this peer review, I need to include more reading I have undertaken which can help back-up ideas and strategies I have undertaken; this is especially relevant for the more recent posts where it will be useful to myself and readers to combine my ideas with texts that have helped these ideas come to fruition. Carrying out the peer review made me better understand what should be included in the blog and how much detail. I had found, by looking at Jianhao’s blog, that I should include much more detail of what my role is in the group collective and how I have found this journey. As a result from this process, I feel much more confident in my portfolio and how I can improve it further.
