On the 9th March we had an online collective meeting to decide upon a collective name and discuss any other updates that concern the whole group. This meeting was very slow with not many contributions to the naming of the group and to remedy this I suggested we use a term that means coming together and unifying under the same concept. We came up with Everything Everywhere Everyone with a vote; this felt rather clunky as something that would be said by people seeing it on a poster but agreed it was important to suggest inclusivity and openness which this name imparts. After this though members of the group began to show hesitation towards it so we put this on the agenda for the next group meeting.

This next meeting (23rd March) was much better as people came to it with what they had intended to vote and spoke up about decisions behind it; I think the first meeting regarding the name would have been more successful if we allowed time before, in the form of a teams message, to think of possible names so we could discuss these straight away instead of thinking on the spot. The name we came up with, 1^25 suggests both inclusivity but also the ethos of the group as everyone is working towards the same goal of putting on a group show. This was also a good chance to hear about any production updates across the collective and set deadlines for each aspect to be completed.

The meeting I chaired on 30th March was a struggle as not everyone had shown up, causing delay and confusion around everyones roles in the production of the show. We also decided here to bring the promotion deadline forward to the 6th April so any content intended for the public eye can be seen sooner and have more time being online. As the collective relies on a strong line of connectivity through it, with any disruptions to this delaying production, this meeting was not much help as people who were missing disrupted chains of production.

This caused major delay to promotion especially, which resulted in poor communication in the group. As I did not have all the relevant information and exhibition times kept shifting, meaning putting up the eventbrite ad online was much later than expected. It was still a valuable part of promotion as I could see the amount of people responding to it and enabled me to get across what the collective was about and what could be expected at the event. I made sure to include positive and inclusive language that connotes a welcoming atmosphere and that all information in the ad was up to date and finalised.

Around this time, I created a document to show the invigilation schedule of the Fire Station space. I had asked everyone else about their own spaces but they all had their own plans for invigilation and planned to be present in them for the duration of the exhibition.  I did this using excel by clearly labelling each day the space was open, with timed slots that people can put their name under to show that they will definitely be in the space at this time. This was important for health and safety, to both protect artworks and audience members. It was also good to know that multiple people would be in the space to greet people as they entered the space and were able to show them the programmes and what else was going on over the two day programme.

The other role I had in this collective was putting up posters which, because of delays, only went up the day before the exhibition. Tianai Zhang and I put up these posters, a mix of A3 and A4, around Edinburgh University and the meadows. As this was a late promotion, we decided to stick mostly with uni places like ECA and Main Library, staying close to the venues and vying for a mostly student audience. We also put some up on lamp posts and advertising walls around ECA to try and widen the demographic to more publics. Me and Tianai Zhang also placed 1^25 programmes that contained everyones individual projects, displaying what they are about, where and when they are showing, into everyones spaces. This was to provide a consistency between projects and also to have as much information as possible at hand for visitors.

I felt like the assigning of roles that took place in class was fairly rushed and each role needed more detail to what is involved, but overall everyone carried out their tasks and made the programme a success.
