This tutorial covered the aspects that are involved in a research proposal and what makes one successful. Reading about this on the White Pube website where there is an array of public proposals that have been completed was very beneficial to developing my understanding of what this entails and what I can base my own Research project on. As in the curation course I am looking at libraries, exhibiting in working spaces and amongst archives, I have taken the idea of archives forward. Witnessing existing proposals has given me more confidence as to what to include in the proposal and how to find more information on this. My biggest struggle with this has been to ascertain how detailed this has to be; as the purpose of the proposal is to summarise relevant research and explain how things will be undertaken, I have been finding it difficult to know how much information I should include for each part.

I am thinking about relevant funding that can back-up projects and how this works. I need to think more about the relevant funding opportunities for my own project, how I can detail the proposal that make it worthy of the National Lottery Project Grants.
