Week 9
an unconference is a participant-oriented meeting where the attendees decide on the agenda, discussion topics, workshops, and, often, even the time and venues.” (Budd et al. 2015: 2)
I created and licensed an open art learning kit. I would like to organize a public event where this open toolkit will be showcased and run, attracting like-minded peers. I’ve heard that “non-conferences” are the way to organize such participatory events, but I’m not sure what non-conferences are, or how to learn about them. It all seems daunting. Where should I start?
Address their main problem first (i.e. their anxiety: “Where should I start?”).
In the two-week course, I will study with Neil in Basho, the experience gained, suggestions and feedback will be integrated into my (OER), and I will show and share my tools in Basho, which is an important part of Basho Barcamp.
Before our presentation, Basho made an appointment to go to Eca cafe together for the last process line, and all of them completed their projects within the stipulated 20 minutes. Ensure the controllability of time and the integrity of the project. Sufficient to support our toolkit outline is the key core of the success of this event.
Before the outline was established, we iteratively built our initial plan, and worked with Basho to gradually and orderly develop our toolkit in Miro. These recorded data can effectively improve our efficiency. Every link is crucial to my Basho and Barcamp.
The entire barcamp and miro have given me a good sense of supervision. Because of the sharing of the platform, everyone is updating and giving me the motivation to learn. Since Barcamp is a non-conference format, allowing for informal and flexible programming, it is possible to log in and participate any time an idea strikes. Through feedback and re-evaluation, I will shift my focus to the multi-faceted feedback of peers, and I will become better in the feedback.
