My accommodation is along Abbeyhill so to get to Princes Street I walk down Regent Road. I found that the sound scape along this journey to be extremely varied in the types and volume of noises as you make your way into town. I pass by greenspaces, construction, houses, and cafes. I might not pass anyone for a few minutes but ten minutes later be in a large crowd.

My aim then for this project is to map the changing sound scape of Regent Road leading into Princes Street. I’m not too sure yet how I will map this but will probably do so in an abstract painting.
