Protozoa are single-celled eukaryotic microorganisms. Protozoa come in different shapes and sizes some oval some elongated. They form different shapes during their lifetime. Protozoa life cycle starts with an alteration between asexual and sexual reproductive stages.  The life cycle largely involves the growth and the increase in size of the organism which is then followed by binary fission. During the growth and division cycle of the free living protozoa, there is a phase of DNA synthesis, chromosome replication as well as the growth of the cells.
